Abstract:
This publication is a synthesis of research results from an International Development Research Centre-funded project on Women in Postproduction Systems, done in collaboration with various academic and research institutions in the Philippines and Thailand. Special emphasis is given to the status and role of women in postproduction activities because studies have indicated that it is in this phase of the farming system where women and other household members had been identified to be actively involved.
