Seven Ways for Successful Academic Networking

Soekartawi

in Monograph from Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA)

Abstract: Many scholars argue that information networking is needed for the promotion of resource sharing and cost effectiveness and the pooling and transfer of experience. This is particularly important for academic activities in developing countries where information and financial resources are limited. Through this monograph, Dr. Soekartawi, former SEARCA Deputy Director for Graduate Scholarship and Research and Development, shares his experience on how to sustain networking, either among individuals or institutions. He identified at least seven critical factors that contribute to successful networking.
