A Factor Analytical Model of Technical Efficiency in Rice Farming

Soekartawi

in Monograph from Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA)

Abstract: This monograph aims to show a technique developed by the author to explain factors affecting technical efficiency in rice farming using factor analysis model. The technique enables the extraction of common variation from a data set in order to reduce the number of variables involved. Thus, the reduced set of composite variables is then used in an attempt to explain differences in the technical efficiency of rice farming.
