Abstract:
This study takes a pedagogical approach to securitisation. The findings suggest that although securitisation has a huge potential for deepending the debt securities market in the SEACEN countries, the prudential risk involved could destabilise the financial market. Thus, managing the risk factors is critical to the implementation of securitisation.
