Financial Innovation: Some Concepts and References to the SEACEN Countries

Abstract: This paper sheds some light on what constitutes an innovation in the financial sector. The conceptual aspects of the subject as developed by financial experts are presented. The paper also sets out some detailed and concrete aspects of financial innovations with special reference to developments in the SEACEN countries.
