Abstract: Abstract Watershed ecological compensation, as an important measure of ecological civilization construction, aims to promote ecological protection and restoration through economic means, in order to achieve coordinated development between economic development and ecological conservation. This paper provides an overview of the research progress on watershed ecological compensation under the context of ecological civilization, including the concept and significance of watershed ecological compensation. It explores the evaluation indicators and methods of watershed ecological compensation and presents future research directions in this field.
