Abstract: Abstract The government released the Developing Village Index (IDM) by categorizing villages into five levels: Independent, Developed, Developing, Disadvantaged, and Very Disadvantaged, on the other hand, the regulations accompany the administrative center as the center of growth. Various scientific opinions suggest that the attractiveness of growth centers will have an impact on the growth of areas around the growth area. Is the attractiveness variable able to encourage an increase in IDM? This paper, which is a review of regional attractiveness in influencing IDM behavior, is a regression analysis of three determinants of attractiveness consisting of six independent variables and one dependent variable where the test results show that the variable distance to the center of growth hurts IDM. In contrast, population, health facilities, and trade facilities have a positive effect, whereas banking facilities and education facilities have no effect. The lack of effect of these two facilities is indicated because other conditions in Papua are different from conditions in general in Indonesia. The level of IDM in areas around the growth area is very dependent on the distance, population, health facilities, and trade facilities, and the variable with the greatest attraction is trade facilities.
