Abstract: Abstract The transition towards a sustainable workforce is imperative in addressing contemporary environmental challenges. This article explores the integration of green economy principles with the development of green employability skills to foster sustainability in the labor market. Utilizing a literature review approach sourced from Emerald, ScienceDirect, JSTOR, Elsevier, Google Scholar, and Sage Journal, this study examines existing research on the nexus between the green economy and employability skills. The findings reveal that aligning workforce development with green economy initiatives is essential for promoting environmental sustainability and economic resilience. Moreover, the literature underscores the significance of incorporating green employability skills, including proficiency in renewable energy technologies, environmental management, and sustainable resource utilization, into educational curricula and vocational training programs. Based on the synthesis of literature, this study recommends collaborative efforts among policymakers, educators, and industry stakeholders to design comprehensive training frameworks that equip individuals with the requisite skills for employment in environmentally conscious sectors. By prioritizing the integration of green economy principles and green employability skills, organizations can effectively cultivate a sustainable workforce poised to drive innovation and mitigate the adverse impacts of climate change.
