Abstract: Abstract Recent comparisons of the last two population censuses show that the proportion of elderly people in China is increasing at a much faster rate than that of newborns. While the development of modern technology has led to the maturity of smartphone applications, elderly individuals often struggle with using apps that have complex operations and interfaces overloaded with information, due to factors such as vision, cognitive, and physical limitations. The existing aging-friendly design of many apps remains inadequate and is often unsuitable for elderly users. This paper employs the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to investigate and determine the weight values of factors influencing the design of aging-friendly app interfaces. It analyzes the relative importance of these factors and, by examining existing aging-friendly apps, aims to optimize interface design to better meet the needs of elderly users.
