Abstract:
Abstract Introduction/Main Objectives: This paper examines the practice of integration of sustainability into strategic management in both profit and non-profit organizations. Background Problems: There are challenges in integrating sustainability in strategic management on both profit and non-profit organizations. Novelty: This research highlights unique approaches and common strategies. While previous research has focused on sustainability in either profit or non-profit organizations, this paper fills the gap by providing a comprehensive examination of both. Research Methods: This research employs a systematic literature review methodology, analyzing case studies and reviewing existing literature on sustainability in strategic management. Finding/Results: The empirical findings reveal that both profit and non-profit organizations benefit from integrating sustainability into their strategic management, though they approach it differently. Profit organizations focus on the triple bottom line, leveraging entrepreneurial capabilities and fostering a supportive culture. Non-profits emphasize interdisciplinary efforts, community participation, and strategic partnerships. Both sectors show significant improvement in performance and societal impact through sustainable practices. Conclusion: The research concludes that integrating sustainability into strategic management is essential for long-term success and societal contribution.
