Abstract: Abstract Research purpose: The study is carried out to show the relationship that exists between digital literacy and personal information security among Vietnamese internet users. It provides the dimensions of digital literacy influencing information control behavior differently. Research motivation: The motivation of this study arises out of the fact that with the rapid growth of digitalization in Vietnam, there has been a steep rise in data breaches over the past couple of years. Dealing with how digital literacy can be manipulated to ensure personal data security is very critical to improved cybersecurity in the region. Research design, approach, and method: In this quantitative study, a survey will be conducted among 183 Vietnamese Internet users. SPSS and SmartPLS were applied to analyze relationships between digital literacy and information security practices. Main findings: Higher digital literacy is linked to better personal information management. Technical skills and policy awareness are key factors that enhance online security behaviors. Practical/ managerial implication: Improving digital literacy through education can strengthen information security. Policymakers should focus on awareness programs and training to mitigate cybersecurity risks.
