Abstract: Abstract With the rapid development of digital economy, digital transformation strategy of enterprises has become a key way to enhance market competitive advantage. The high-tech enterprises listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share markets from 2008–2022 are selected as sample cases, and the empirical analysis using DID method shows that: (1) digital transformation promotes the innovation performance of high-tech enterprises; (2) Digital transformation promotes innovation and adaptability of high-tech enterprises; (3) Innovation ability and adaptability promote the innovation performance of high-tech enterprises; (4) Dynamic capability plays a partial mediating role between digital transformation and innovation performance of high-tech enterprises. Heterogeneity analysis shows that different types of high-tech enterprises may have different response patterns in the improvement of digital transformation on innovation performance. The article provides a new perspective and evidence for the study of digital transformation and innovation performance of high-tech enterprises, and provides management suggestions for their future innovation development.
