A chapter in Proceedings of the 2025 10th International Conference on Financial Innovation and Economic Development (ICFIED 2025), 2025, pp 445-454 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract At a time when electric vehicles continue to rise and competitors continue to emerge, people are concerned about the transformation of the old company Volkswagen Group and are curious about whether it can become an investment product. Therefore, this paper analyzes the investment of Volkswagen Group from both financial and non-financial aspects. In terms of non-financial analysis, this paper uses PEST model to study the macro environment of the current development of Volkswagen Group. In terms of financial analysis, with the help of the annual report of Volkswagen Group and relevant financial data collected on the website of Yingwei Financial, this paper understands the company’s profitability, liquidity, operating efficiency, and capital structure through the interpretation of financial data and the analysis of ratios. Based on the analysis of financial and non-financial aspects, Volkswagen Group has high profitability and liquidity, but there are certain defects in inventory management and product sales. These findings may offer some help to corporate managers and investors.
