Abstract:
Abstract This research investigates the influence of leadership styles on employee engagement inside academic libraries. Effective leadership is essential for cultivating a happy and inclusive workplace, promoting open communication, and enabling people to assume responsibility for their tasks. Transformational and servant leadership styles are seen as particularly successful in enhancing employee engagement. Transformational leadership promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and employee empowerment, whereas servant leadership emphasizes employees’ needs and well-being, cultivates trust and respect, and facilitates open communication. The research delineates essential employee engagement tactics, encompassing consistent feedback and coaching, recognition and rewards, autonomy, professional growth opportunities, and work-life balance. Through the application of these leadership styles and methods, academic libraries may cultivate a good and inclusive workplace that enhances employee engagement and job satisfaction, hence resulting in increased organizational performance and success.
