Abstract:
Abstract This paper empirically investigates the relationship between the previous year's ESG performance and the enterprise value of agricultural listed companies by using a two-way fixed-effects model with agricultural listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares from 2014 to 2023 as the research object. It is found that enhancing the previous year's ESG performance can significantly increase the enterprise value of listed agricultural companies, and this effect is more prominent in state-owned enterprises and those with higher digitisation levels.
