Abstract: Abstract The rapid development of the halal tourism industry which is increasing and penetrating into various regions in Indonesia is a special attraction for consumers to fulfill the needs of tourists. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the role of business legality in supporting the ideal halal tourism industry in Indonesia. The method used in this research is normative legal research with a case approach, concepts and legislation with primary and secondary legal support data. The results of this study research that essence of business legality has a vital role in supporting and encouraging success in the realization of the halal tourism industry in Indonesia. Moreover, because business legality is important as a means of legal protection for new inventions, a means of increasing business credibility and a means of business promotion by opening access to funding and assisting in product promotion. Therefore, it is necessary to register business legality as an initial capital to produce and create an effective and efficient halal tourism industry in Indonesia based on sharia principles.
