Abstract:
Abstract Digital transformation in cooperatives is essential for adapting to the digital economy. This study examines digital transformation’s impact on sustainable development within cooperative businesses. The research employed a quantitative method, with active cooperatives in West Java as participants. Data were obtained from the Office of Cooperatives and SMEs in West Java, with a population of 15,654 active cooperatives in 2021. A sample of 150 cooperatives was selected from this population using purposive random sampling. The study’s findings indicate that cooperatives implementing digitalization and online accessibility significantly impact the number of contributing members. This was confirmed by an independent sample t-test, which yielded a significance value of 0.000, below the 0.05 threshold, leading to the rejection of Ho and acceptance of Ha. Therefore, there is a significant difference in the average number of members between the group that has adopted digitalization and the group that has not. These findings demonstrate that digital transformation strongly influences member participation in cooperatives, enhancing the cooperative’s contribution to sustainable development.
