Abstract:
Abstract This study aims to demonstrate the following: (1) The learning outcomes taught by the discovery learning model with the help of the animation Canva application are more similar to those taught by the learning model with the assistance of a wall chart that uses discovery learning media. The disparity in economic learning results between pupils with strong motivation and those with low motivation. There exists a relationship between learning models and learning motivation for economic learning outcomes. This study is of a quasi-experimental nature. The study’s population comprised class XII IPS students at SMAN 2 Pariaman throughout the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample method employed is purposive sampling. The sample comprises class XII IPS students as the experimental group and class XII IPS students as the control group. The data involves both primary and secondary sources, employing a descriptive and inductive analytical strategy. Inductive analysis is conducted with the t-test and two-way ANOVA. The study’s findings indicate that (1) there are disparities in economic learning outcomes between the discovery learning model utilizing Canva application animation media and the discovery learning model employing wall chart media in class XII IPS SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman. In Class XII IPS at SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman, variations in student academic performance are seen according to their levels of learning motivation. A link exists between the employed learning model and the motivation for learning, which influences the outcomes of economic education in class XII at SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman. This study suggests that educators implement the discovery learning model with Canva application animation media in the instructional process at SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman, particularly in economics courses. The educator fosters student motivation in studying by providing commendations and rewards, as well as recognizing those that achieve with additional benefits.
