Abstract: Abstract Innovative behavior is a phenomenon in the world of education in which a teacher must adapt to an ever changing environment, accompanied by competitive behaviors that require the competence of teachers to always share knowledge. This research aims to know the impact of knowledge sharing on innovative behavior and competitive behavior with competence as a mediator in the State High School of Payakumbuh. The variables used in this research are knowledge sharing, competence, innovative behavior and competitive behavior. The study used quantitative methods and questionnaire data as a collection tool and analyzed them using PLS. As respondents, 165 state high school teachers from the city of Payakumbuh participated in this study. The study showed that sharing knowledge has a positive and significant impact on competence, sharing knowledge positively and significantly influences innovative behavior, sharing knowledge has apositive and meaningful influence on competitive behaviour, competence has a positive and substantial impact on innovative behaviours, competence has positive significative impact on competitive behaviors. Competences positively or significantly mediate the relationship between knowledge sharing and innovation conduct. The novelty in this study is competitive behaviour becomes positive thing between teachers.
