Abstract: Abstract The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well scrambled letters work as a teaching tool vocabulary in English classes for the Ship Engineering Study Program at Poltektrans SDP. Two cycles of classroom action research are used as the research approach. The results of the data analysis show that using scrambled letters as a teaching method was quite successful and significantly increased student interest. Students’ ability to create vocabulary words out of jumbled letters showed that they were more engaged in class. The percentage of learning completion increased from 45.45% in Cycle I to 95.45% in Cycle II, indicating a discernible improvement in students’ vocabulary proficiency. These findings imply that using scrambled letters to improve vocabulary knowledge and foster a more dynamic and interesting learning environment is a successful strategy. It is anticipated that this study will be a resource for educators looking for cutting-edge teaching materials to improve student performance.
