Abstract: Abstract Management control systems are increasingly challenged by the complexity of data-driven decision-making, necessitating advanced methodologies to enhance planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes. This systematic literature review, examines the integration of predictive analytics into management control frameworks. By analyzing peer-reviewed studies from Scopus and Web of Science, the study identifies key trends, methodologies, and theoretical contributions in the field. Bibliometric and content analyses reveal a growing emphasis on quantitative approaches, with applications spanning anomaly detection, cost estimation, and strategic forecasting. Findings underscore the transformative potential of predictive analytics in improving accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment, while also identifying persistent challenges, including data quality and infrastructure limitations. The review contributes to theoretical discourse by mapping research trajectories and offers practical insights for organizations seeking to adopt AI-driven tools. Future research should address scalability, sector-specific adaptations, and the interplay between predictive analytics and organizational workflows to advance management control practices in dynamic environments.
