Abstract: Abstract Purpose: This study aims to delve deeply into the ways in which IoT integration can enhance supply chain agility. It further aims to investigate the mediating role of real-time insight along with key contextual moderators. Design/Methodology/Approach: The researcher conducted a cross-sectional survey of 184 manufacturing firms, followed by a qualitative case study using sequential mixed-method approaches. The study analyzed the data for this research using structural equation modeling and thematic analysis. Findings: The findings highlight that IoT integration has a significant positive effect on real-time insights (β = 0.647), which significantly enhances the supply chain agility (β = 0.721). Real-time insights completely mediate the relationship between IoT and agility; in other words, 100% VAF results are proved. Moreover, organizational readiness, partner collaboration, and environmental turbulence significantly influence insight agility, with the effect being strongest during turbulence. Practical Implications: The results presented in the study can contribute to the implementation activities of logistics managers. They are a relevant roadmap for the phased IoT implementation. Further, managers can focus on the investment and integration of data platforms to reap continued benefits. According to the study, policymakers should develop a standardized IoT protocol and skill-development programs to enhance overall adoption by SMEs. Originality/Value: This research makes a substantial contribution by empirically establishing the critical role of real-time insights as the mediating variable between IoT and agility, which previous literature has overlooked. It provides a well-researched conceptual framework that defines and explains how to achieve IoT-enabled agility and the boundary conditions. Furthermore, it is theoretically sound and practically useful.
