Abstract: Abstract With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, their integration into public health has become increasingly significant. This study investigates the evolution and research trends of AI applications in public health through bibliometric and knowledge visualization techniques. Based on data retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (2001.01.01–2025.05.31), 2,512 publications were analyzed. Tools such as CiteSpace and HistCite Pro were employed to examine publication outputs, citation dynamics, geographical distribution, institutional contributions, and thematic hotspots. The findings indicate that while China’s research efforts began relatively late, its growth rate since 2019 has been notable, gradually bridging the gap with leading countries like the United States. The study also emphasizes the complementarity between AI and human expertise, suggesting that synergistic integration is essential for sustainable development in this field.
