Abstract: Abstract The growing need for inclusive, contextual, and adaptive Indonesian language learning resources calls for the development of a digital book model based on Universal Design for Learning (UDL), particularly for translation education. This study aims to design an initial UDL-based digital book model to support translation students’ learning, using Sugiyono’s (2012) R&D method and Spradley’s (1997) qualitative analysis. The proposed model includes four main innovations: (1) material innovation—focused on accurate spelling, vocabulary, sentence structure, and contextual translation exercises; (2) pedagogical innovation—through multimodal representation, interactive engagement, and flexible expression modes for all learners, including those with special needs; (3) glocal innovation—highlighting local cultural values within globally oriented translation content; and (4) technological innovation—featuring interactive multimedia, accessibility-based adaptive interfaces, and AI-supported feedback for personalized, independent learning. This model provides a foundational step toward inclusive, culturally grounded, and technologically enhanced digital textbooks suited to the diverse challenges of translation learning in the digital era.
