Abstract:
Abstract The wealth of prehistoric cultural heritage in Indonesia has become a tourist attraction. However, problems often arise in its management, whether it is managed by certain institutions, the government, or individuals/private entities. This has constrained the potential for cultural heritage tourism to develop, especially when such potential holds economic value. This is the case with the Waruga cultural heritage site in Sawangan Tourism Village, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province, which possesses cultural tourism potential, as evidenced by visits from foreign tourists to the location. However, the management of this site remains a subject of debate. Observations show that tourist facilities such as the mini museum are damaged, and the environment is not well maintained. In addition, there is a lack of harmony between the management of the tourism village and the government. The purpose of this study is to develop an integrated tourism management model between the village and the Waruga cultural heritage site in the context of heritage tourism. Using interviews, documentation, and observation, the data was analyzed qualitatively to produce a hypothetical model.
