A chapter in Proceedings of the 11th Annual Meeting of Risk Analysis Council of China Association for Disaster Prevention (RAC 2024), 2025, pp 43-49 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract From 2005 to 2020, the ecological carrying capacity of resources and environment in western Jilin has undergone significant changes, reflecting regional differences in resource utilization and environmental management. The fluctuation of REECC value is between 0.23 and 0.54, which shows the imbalance of ecological carrying capacity, especially the high-value area is gradually transferred from the north and southeast of Zhenlai to the east. This change is closely related to economic development, population migration and environmental policy. The analysis of driving factors shows that the influence of population density, ecological value index and PM2.5 is gradually significant, which highlights the importance of environmental quality and human settlement conditions on the ecological carrying capacity of resources and environment. Although most regions have high ecological carrying capacity, they lack obvious ecological industry layout. In the future, resource management and industrial layout should be optimized to promote the development of green agriculture, green energy and eco-tourism in order to achieve regional sustainable development.
