Abstract:
Abstract This chapter is composed of four sections. The first section takes up the significance of Bushido and clarifies why we discuss it. The second section takes up Inazo Nitobe and shows why and how Nitobe wrote Bushido in English. The third section verifies the theory of Bushido during the Edo period. The last section takes up the ethical code of the Mikawa samurai, Shosan Suzuki.
