Chapter Chapter 5 in Mechanisms for Long-Term Innovation, 2022, pp 67-84 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, we describe the history of RO membrane development by US private companies. We shed light on the specific role taken by ROGA, a part of General Atomic, in the progress of the RO membrane technology in the San Diego area as well as critical roles taken by FilmTec and Dow Chemical in the Minneapolis area. We also elucidate that DuPont began development in the East Coast area and expanded its business into the Middle Eastern market.
