Chapter Chapter 6 in Smart Grid Economics, 2024, pp 99-109 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Chapter 6 quantifies the social welfare effects of demand response nationwide using the results of the Keihanna Science City experiment, which will contribute to evidence-based policy making. We also provide an overview of the liberalization of the electricity industry in Japan and discuss how demand response could be implemented in deregulated retail electricity markets.
