Abstract: Abstract This chapter seeks the goal of determining the possible scenarios of development of a multicultural region in the conditions of its globalization and determining the priorities of state management of this process in the interests of its optimization for a multicultural region. As a result of studying the dynamics of change of the values of the selected statistical indicators in multicultural and monocultural regions in 2018, as compared to 2000, the specific consequences of globalization for the economy of multicultural regions are determined. The multicultural regions of modern Russia use the administrative approach to state management, in which the probability of emergence of positive and negative consequences of globalization in this region, including outflow of direct foreign investments and negative foreign trade balance, is very high.
