A chapter in Economic Growth in the European Union, 2020, pp 21-32 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous world, technology disrupts and globalization magnifies and propagates the dramatic changes in the workplace, in communications and transactions, and the way companies operate and create value. New groups of multinational companies emerge (“Digital MNCs”) that create value for the global market place, achieve rapid and exponential growth along with high capitalization, where the growth of their assets is faster than the growth of their revenue and employment. The chapter sheds light on the structure of the business models these companies adopt, the structure of the assets they employ, the strategies and tactics they follow to penetrate the global economy and finally the framework for investment policy to support the development of the digital economy through Digital MNCs.
