Abstract: Abstract This chapter gives an overview of less-developed economies as a group beginning with their differentiation, the peculiarities of their development models, while also covering how the Fourth Industrial Revolution, globalisation and regionalisation impact them. Then it characterises their human capital and innovative development, the specifics of the real and financial sectors, external economic relations and social development.
