Abstract: Abstract This chapter focuses on the evolution, modern trends, and challenges facing the multilateral trading system. This is a complex set of basic principles of regulation and rules for application on a national and regional scale. The main global platform for negotiations is the WTO, the mechanism, goals, and objectives of which make it possible to organize and control the negotiation process on the global level. Special focus is placed on trade promotion measures as well as sanctions.
