Abstract: Abstract The chapter considers the basics of international settlements and payments, mainly in foreign trade. It also describes major exchange rate factors and the basics of forecasting the exchange rate. Attention is also paid to exchange rate regimes and currency policy in various groups of countries. The chapter ends with an analysis of the global foreign exchange market.
