Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we analyse the economic and social changes and the development of organisational theories, such as Taylor and scientific management, the school of human relations, the organisation’s complexity and cooperation, socio-technical models, and the “contingency” theories. we also deal with several new explanatory paradigms, such as “transaction costs”, “organisational networks”, and the “cognitive” approach.
