Chapter Chapter 3 in The Apprentice Movement in the Federal Republic of Germany, 2025, pp 23-33 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter introduces the movement through three sustained episodes of apprentice activism: at the municipal apprentice training centre in Frankfurt, the electronics manufacturer Durag-Apparatebau in Hamburg, and seven radio-TV dealerships in Essen. These campaigns represented organisational high points, in terms of the number of apprentices involved and the choice of a considered sequence of actions. Their outcomes differed, however: the first was a clear victory, the second ultimately a failure, and the third a partial success.
