A chapter in Energy Policymaking in a Cross-national Comparison, 2026, pp 557-580 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The studies of 19 countries in this volume used the same framework to discuss energy policymaking in each country. The chosen framework does not assume a theory for the process but does organize available information about the policymaking process. Comparisons indicate that the policymaking process is complex in a context unique to a country. However, using the framework, commonalities can be identified that may be linked to reductions in greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs). These commonalities would be targets for additional analysis and development of reduction strategies. Use of the framework further indicates potential topics for further research.
