Chapter Chapter 6 in Knowledge Flows, Technological Change and Regional Growth in the European Union, 2013, pp 157-190 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Regional disparities can no longer be defined only in terms of statistical differences in values of standard macroeconomic indicators. Knowledge and technological advancement matter more and more in defining both the level and growth rate of a given region’s GDP. The following chapter aims to analyze the impact of knowledge spillovers and technological change on economic growth and the catching-up process of the EU regions.
