The authors substantiate the priority of investment of basic (production and technological) innovations into food industry, which is the most important condition for provision of its sustainable dynamic development on the basis of formation of synergetic effect. Based on application of simultaneous synthesis, the treatment of the notion “innovations” for food industry enterprises was specified. For the purpose of elimination of the determined systemic problems in the studied sector that reduce effectiveness of realization of innovational processes, and, as a consequence, hinder the formation of synergy, the main measures are offered that have to be realized by state bodies in this sphere.
