Chapter 4 in The Role of Universities in the Europe 2020 Strategy, 2017, pp 103-168 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract A theoretical but also empirical understanding about universities as strategic main actors in sustainable development of communities involves the analysis of motivations and actions at the level of individuals as well as various organisational levels when conducting research questions that are related to independent variables. These range from research groups, through the department or cross-departmental level, to the level of the university as a whole. It must also include analysis of individuals and organisations as well as other actors spanning university external boundaries’ groupings.
