Chapter 6 in The Role of Universities in the Europe 2020 Strategy, 2017, pp 207-219 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract More than 1 year of research into the role of universities in supporting the achievement of the EU 2020 strategy in the Western Balkan countries, including surveys of four semi-successful innovation-driven post conflict countries and four nations and universities, produced an analytical framework to explore the role of universities in (socio-economic) development and how this role might be operationalised. It also produced a comprehensive, systematic and comparative data on a group of Balkan universities ever compiled.
