Chapter Chapter 11 in International Trade and Economic Development in BRICS, 2026, pp 259-273 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This paper examines the role and impact of China-Africa industrialization cooperation, focusing on the development of regional and sub-regional value chains (S/RVCs) and their integration into global value chains. It explores how leveraging comparative advantage can spur diversification to promote S/RVCs, supports regional integration through infrastructure development, and seeks to ameliorate production and transaction costs caused by poor regional infrastructure services. The paper highlights the importance of these strategies in enhancing industrialization cooperation between China and Africa and fostering sustainable economic development in the region.
