Abstract Some years ago, not even social science professionals knew about the modern, empirically orientated research on happiness. The situation has changed dramatically since then. Happiness research belongs to the hottest subjects not only in economics but far beyond. This fact is revealed by the great interest young scholars pay to the new subject.
