Abstract:
Abstract The socio-economic reality in Poland, evolving over the last few decades, has revealed new opportunities and threats from the global environment. This fact also significantly influenced the functioning of modern sports organizations, which were forced to seek new methods and techniques of management and concepts that would sustainably achieve sports, economic and social goals in line with the expectations of all stakeholders. Taking into consideration the specifics of interest groups within the functioning of sports organizations and what these organizations offer in the context of their products and services, it seems natural that CSR can and should become a strong “partner” in achieving the above mentioned goals. The objective of this chapter is find out current relationship between sport and social responsibility in its real, strategic dimension. Concluding the considerations presented in the article, it is important to note that we have relation between sport (sports organizations) and CSR. In Polish sport organizations can find elements of the practical application of CSR. It allowing to build a model that seems to be a current trend in the dimensions of the use of this concept in the functional space of sport in Poland. Therefore CSR itself is starting to play an increasingly important role in a balanced approach to the pursuit of sport, economic and social goals.
