A chapter in Sustainable Development, 2020, pp 211-214 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This book aims to bridge the worlds of sustainability, standardisation and education. Standardisation is essential to make sustainability happen and for both concepts, better education is needed. This may result from a combination of top-down and bottom-up initiatives, the book puts emphasis on the latter. This chapter discusses the foregoing chapters and addresses, among other things, the market needs for education about standardisation, examples of teaching, the differences between practices at both university and national levels, and the richness of examples of making teaching attractive to students.
