A chapter in Rethinking Business Responsibility in a Global Context, 2020, pp 33-44 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Different perspectives on the role of the private sector in society are discussed, including the shift from a profit-driven to a value-driven company. The chapter then takes a specific look at multinational enterprises and their contribution to human well-being before analyzing the potential benefits of CSR for global business. The latter offers insights into the debate on the blurring boundaries between the public and private spheres.
