Abstract:
Abstract Entrepreneurs deal with high levels of stress due to specific risks and challenges. Learning to overcome such situations, adapt and improve, in sum being resilient, is part of the entrepreneur’s life. Therefore, resilience counts as a key success factor. In this paper we focus on entrepreneurial resilience on the individual level. Based on different perspectives on entrepreneurial resilience we carve out factors that influence entrepreneurs’ ability to resist challenging times and introduce a research model for entrepreneurial resilience—including current research questions in this field.
