Silvia Puiu
Chapter Chapter 6 in Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure in Developing and Emerging Economies, 2024, pp 87-101 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The chapter focuses on CSR initiatives in a developing economy such as Romania which faces many challenges from a socio-economic perspective. As a research methodology, we used the PRISMA method to review the literature on the topic of CSR in the public and private sectors in Romania. The analysis focuses on the obstacles faced by Romanian companies, the advantages of CSR for the image of a company and for the community, and also on the transparency and promotion of these initiatives. The research offers a clearer image of the situation in Romania showing the importance of CSR projects for solving social and economic problems in a country. The results are helpful for practitioners who want to develop better CSR strategies.
