Abstract:
Abstract Reuse means using a product more than once in its original form to extend the life cycle of products and materials. So, the main aim of reuse is to optimise usage and to maintain and lengthen the lifespan of products and their parts. Reuse is one of the best ways to reduce plastic waste, which pollutes ecosystems, creates risks for human and animal health and destabilises the climate. The reuse strategy plays a major role in ending plastic pollution by minimising unnecessary plastic use and solving the problems created by linear plastic supply chains, as it drives the acceleration of the market for reusable products. Four reuse models are briefly discussed: refilling at home, refilling on the go, return from home and return on the go. Algramõ is an intelligent dispensing system on wheels, which serves as a practical example of a “refill on the go” model.
