A chapter in Sustainable Transformation and Well-being, 2025, pp 117-128 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Music and physiology have been closely linked since time immemorial. Using Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 as an example, the article addresses essential points of such connections—including tension and synchronization, breathing, construction, and spiritualism—and discusses their potential for well-being in terms of arts for health on the basis of evidence-based findings.
